Kindness

We are starting with this one for a reason. It is the basis for the Curiouser experience. Above all, we are kind to one another. We lift one another up with our words and our positive energies.

Openness

We celebrate bravery to be vulnerable, and to be open to new experiences. We approach these weekends with open minds and open hearts.

Adaptability

We adjust schedules based on how we’re all feeling, what the weather is doing, and whether anyone in the community has a bright idea of something to do in the moment. We value unstructured play and creative exploration.

Participation

It’s always better when you co-create with us. Whether it’s teaching a workshop on applied quantum physics for extra-terrestrial diplomacy or helping to straighten out the children’s play lounge after they tear through it like a cyclone, every ounce of you that gets put into the experience makes it exponentially better for everyone (including you!)

Sensible Self Reliance

We aren’t a hotel or well-oiled hospitality company, we are a community trying to figure out how to nourish our own needs and our children’s in one place. We like to think of it as our home for the weekend.

Curiosity & Play

Fun is under-rated in parental society. And play is actually how we connect with our children (and one another). We step into their world to connect. When we play with our kids, and our kids see us in a happy playful state, everyone wins.

“The Work”

While sometimes the point of play is play itself, it can also be the doorway into a world of learning, connection and self care. Whether it’s learning, relationship strengthening, confronting hard truths or introspective exploration, we sometimes enter “the work” through play.
